Key Qualifications:
Current licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in the state Strong background in pediatric therapy or previous experience working within school environments Solid understanding of IEP implementation and familiarity with therapeutic interventions tailored for children Effective interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with team members, parents, and students Ability to adapt therapeutic strategies to diverse student needs within a flexible, dynamic school setting Commitment to professionalism, reliability, and ethical standards
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct therapeutic activities and interventions as directed by supervising Occupational Therapists Support students with a range of physical, developmental, or sensory-motor challenges Document student progress, maintain treatment records, and participate in team meetings Assist in the development and implementation of individualized intervention plans Communicate with teachers and families to ensure consistent and effective support strategies Foster an encouraging, inclusive environment that helps students achieve their goals
