We are looking for an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and patient-focused Ophthalmic Technician to join our team. Our practice is home to 6 physicians — 2 MDs and 4 ODs — and offers a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a strong focus on excellent patient care. This is a part-time position with a schedule that may vary from week to week. Availability required is 2 Saturdays a month from 8:00 AM-1:00 PM. Other hours for the week may vary. What You'll Do As an Ophthalmic Technician, you will play an important role in supporting our physicians and providing patients with a smooth, efficient, and positive experience.

Responsibilities include:

Updating medical records and accurately documenting chief complaints and patient history Performing preliminary testing and components of comprehensive eye examinations Visual acuity (VA) Goldman applanation and iCare tonometry Manual and automated refraction Pupillary assessment and confrontation visual fields (CFVF) Manual lensometry Performing and assisting with diagnostic testing, including: OCT Humphrey Visual Field (HVF) Fundus photography IOL Master Pachymetry Administering dilation and anesthetic drops as directed Patient triage and communicating concerns appropriately to physicians Processing prescription refills Providing clear, compassionate patient education Contact lens insertion and removal trainings Assisting physicians and maintaining an efficient patient flow Maintaining accurate and thorough documentation What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is: Experienced and confident in an ophthalmic technician role Comfortable with ophthalmic terminology and clinical testing Detail-oriented and committed to accurate documentation Friendly, professional, and compassionate with patients Able to work independently while being a strong team player Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced practice Dependable and flexible with scheduling Knowledge of Compulink/EMR is a plus Why Join Us?
