About the Role Oliver Audiology & Hearing Aid Services is a privately-owned audiology practice in Old Town San Diego, serving our community since 1996. We're professional, supportive, and patient-centered, with a goal of providing the highest standard of care for people with hearing needs. We're looking for an Audiology Assistant to work under the supervision of our Audiologist. This is a hands-on clinical support role — you'll work directly with patients on hearing device fitting, maintenance, and troubleshooting. It's a strong opportunity for someone motivated to build a real career in audiology and hearing healthcare. Prior clinical or hearing-healthcare experience is a plus, though we will train the right candidate. What You'll Do Greet patients and support the front office, including phones and scheduling Maintain patient files and perform clerical/administrative support tasks Interact directly with patients in one-on-one support and counseling Counsel patients on hearing device technology and applications, including phone integration Clean, maintain, and repair hearing devices Track inventory and order hearing aids and supplies; manage hearing aid orders, factory repairs, and manufacturer returns Support providers with patient care coordination and follow-up/training Send follow-up correspondence to patients on behalf of providers What We're Looking For High school diploma or equivalent Prior experience in a clinical, medical office, or hands-on technical support setting a plus Demonstrated experience building strong, positive relationships with teammates, patients, or customers Clear speaking voice and strong verbal/written communication skills Proficiency with MS Office; comfort learning medical practice software People-oriented, friendly, and compassionate, with great listening skills A great teammate who is also an independent self-starter Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize a high patient volume Positive energy, dedication, and diligence in day-to-day work
Pay:
$20.00 - $23.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
