Job Description

Orangetheory Fitness is a group personal training concept that is now the fastest-growing fitness brand in the world. This intense interval-based cardio and strength training workout, backed by the science of target zone heart-rate monitoring, has been featured in the numerous national publications (Shape Magazine, Men's Health, LA Times, The Today Show, Good Morning America, etc.) and is touted as the 'best one hour workout in the country,' whereby participants of all different ability levels burn 500 to 1000 calories in a 60 minute session. This workout helps build strength, increase energy, surpass workout plateaus, and tone and shape bodies like no other. Orangetheory Fitness in San Clemente is looking to hire new group fitness coaches to join its first-class team. RESPONSIBILITIES

Leading up to 39 participants through 60-minute OTF-specific group training sessions with positivity, energy, motivation, and enthusiasm. Managing the safety of participants in relation to heart rate response, exercise technique, posture, as well as joint stress and stability when resistance training. Marketing your OTF coaching services inside and outside the OTF studio. (Examples include marketing events with your OTF team, corporate events, sporting events, etc.) Building OTF attendance and retaining current clientele. Maintaining organization and cleanliness of the training floor, as well as other areas of the studio when needed. Attending monthly fitness staff meetings and all relevant webinars and other requested corporate meetings and continuing education workshops. Handling member concerns/feedback in a professional, objective manner with the goal of resolution and retention, when applicable. Assisting Sales Associates with OTF studio tours/sales with new client prospects as well as staying abreast of current service and marketing offerings.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

Must hold a current fitness certification from an OTF approved education company: NASM, ACE, NSCA, ACSM, and/or AFAA. Must have current CPR/AED certification. Must have 1 or more years of professional experience teaching groups and/or personal training in the fitness industry. Must have intermediate-level knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics. Must have the ability to multi-task and stay organized while training up to 30 members in one group training session. Must have the ability to progress and regress exercises on the fly, in real-time. Must have the desire and capacity to train all fitness levels -- novice to elite. Must be positive, motivating, and have effective interpersonal communication skills. Must possess excellent customer service skills. Must be able to work weekends when needed and as requested by your Studio Manager and/or Head Coach. Must have the strength and ability to safely lift and move up to 50 lbs. Must invest 10+ hours per year in continuing education lectures and workshops outside of OTF curriculum. Bachelor's degree in an Exercise Related Field is highly desirable but not required.

COMPENSATION

Hourly pay starts at $17.50. Total compensation between $37.50 to $80 a class after hourly pay and bonus.
