Category Pharmacy - Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Direct Hire A growing infusion pharmacy is seeking two Clinical Infusion Pharmacists for full-time direct hire positions. This on-site role offers a Monday through Friday schedule, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with an immediate start date. Responsibilities include providing expert clinical and dispensing services for infusion and specialty medications. You will review and verify prescriptions, perform clinical assessments, and ensure appropriate medication selection, dosing, and monitoring aligned with evidence-based guidelines and regulatory standards. Daily tasks involve preparing and verifying compounded sterile products, collaborating closely with prescribers and nursing staff on therapy plans, and counseling patients regarding medication use, side effects, and adherence strategies. Coordination of treatment logistics, management of medication inventories, documentation of clinical interventions, and supporting quality assurance, safety, and compliance measures are key components of the role. You will also serve as a clinical resource and actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Preferred qualifications include:
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent degree with an active, unrestricted pharmacist license in California Proficiency in sterile and non-sterile compounding following USP and regulatory standards Experience in infusion therapy, specialty pharmacy, or hospital/clinical pharmacy environments Familiarity with insurance prior authorization, specialty medication reimbursement, and patient assistance programs Strong clinical judgment with a focus on patient safety and quality care Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with patients, caregivers, prescribers, and interdisciplinary teams This position has a specialty focus in neurology and oncology infusion therapies and utilizes the CareTend system.
