Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Direct Hire A permanent Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) position is available at a newly established specialty pharmacy in Las Vegas, focused on compounding operations that were previously outsourced. This specialty pharmacy concentrates on a limited portfolio of medications including GLP1s, allergy medications, and immunotherapies. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in building the pharmacy team by hiring pharmacists and technicians.

Location:

Henderson, NV (with a focus on Las Vegas area operations)

Schedule:

Monday through Friday, day shifts

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the designated PIC ensuring full compliance with USP, FDA, and state pharmacy board regulations Oversee sterile compounding workflows, personnel management, and quality assurance programs Manage compliance with multi-state pharmacy regulations, especially California and other non-resident states Develop, maintain, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for sterile compounding Hire, supervise, and train pharmacists and pharmacy technicians Coordinate pharmacy inspections, audits, and maintain regulatory readiness Oversee environmental monitoring, validation, and documentation initiatives Ensure proper handling, storage, and dispensing of compounded sterile preparations Collaborate with leadership on strategy, expansion, and licensing efforts Maintain accurate documentation and records to ensure continuous inspection readiness

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

Active Nevada pharmacy license (California license highly preferred due to patient base) Minimum of 3 years' experience in hospital, infusion, or specialty pharmacy practice Ability and willingness to obtain additional pharmacy licenses as needed Strong leadership and people management skills Familiarity with regulatory compliance in specialty pharmacy settings This position offers excellent earning potential with an estimated base compensation around $170,000 annually plus $10,000 in incentives.
