Schedule:

24 hours per week Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 6:00

PM Key Responsibilities:

Verify medication orders entered by data entry technicians for multiple care settings. Perform thorough checks on blister-packed, sterile, and non-sterile medications. Respond to phone inquiries from nursing facilities, hospice nurses, and physicians, addressing clinical questions with professionalism. Accurately count controlled substances and document them in the perpetual inventory. Inspect and maintain emergency medication boxes.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in pharmacy. Active pharmacist license in Pennsylvania, in good standing. Minimum of one year pharmacist experience, preferably in long-term care. Ability to perform physical activities including sitting, standing, fine motor tasks, visual inspection, and lifting up to 30 pounds.

Operating Systems Familiarity:

QS1, Docutrack, PCC. This contract position typically begins with a one-month assignment, with the possibility for extension based on performance and organizational needs.
