Mail Order LTC Staff Pharmacist | Warwick, Rhode Island RPh on the Go - 4.1 Warwick, RI Job Details Temp-to-hire | Contract $55 - $63 an hour 12 hours ago Qualifications Registered Pharmacist (RPh) Licensed Pharmacist (State-Specific) Doctor of Pharmacy Licensed Pharmacist Full Job Description Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A pharmacist position is available in a long-term care and mail order pharmacy setting, offering a 12-week contract with potential for temp-to-hire status. This role is based in Warwick, RI, with weekday shifts primarily between 9:30 AM to 6 PM and 1:30 PM to 10 PM. Candidates should be flexible for 1 to 2 night shifts per week.
Responsibilities:
Accurately accept and dispense prescription medications in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Monitor patient medication adherence and detect possible over-usage trends. Maintain detailed and confidential patient records while managing pharmacy files efficiently. Provide expert advice to patients regarding medications, including dosage instructions, potential side effects, and drug interactions. Deliver patient services such as smoking cessation support, blood pressure monitoring, and cholesterol management. Educate patients on the correct usage and care of medical devices, including blood pressure monitors and glucose meters. Compound medications for internal and external use, preparing sterile solutions according to proper protocols. Supervise pharmacy personnel including technicians and clerks to ensure smooth pharmacy operations. Manage pharmaceutical and medical supply inventory to ensure adequacy and regulatory compliance. Collaborate with healthcare providers to identify and resolve drug-related issues effectively.
Qualifications:
Licensed pharmacist with a valid Rhode Island pharmacy license. Experience in pharmacy settings; long-term care experience is highly preferred. Strong communication skills focused on patient education and collaborative healthcare. Proven ability to supervise and support pharmacy staff.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, primarily day shifts (9:30 AM-6 PM; 1:30 PM-10 PM). Availability for 1-2 night shifts per week is required.
