Immediate start to cover a leave of absence through December, with potential for extension

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Arizona Pharmacy Technician license with CPTB certification required Previous hospital experience as a Pharmacy Technician essential Proficiency with Omnicell automation system mandatory Familiarity with medication filling machines and performing out-date procedures Experience in general technician duties within a hospital setting Cerner order entry system experience is a plus but not required

Key Responsibilities:

Refill and restock Omnicell cabinets, ensuring timely and accurate medication availability Maintain accurate inventory counts and rotate stock to prevent medication expiration Remove expired, recalled, or damaged medications according to protocols Conduct regular cycle counts and inventory audits to ensure compliance Fill medication cassettes, bins, and patient-specific medication requests carefully Deliver medications directly to nursing units efficiently and securely Process medication returns and credits per established policies Verify proper packaging and labeling of medications before distribution Monitor and support management of high-alert medications Assist with routine medication room inspections and maintenance Prepare monthly audit documentation for medication areas Support handling of patient-owned medications in compliance with facility policies Monitor emergency medication kits and antidote inventory levels A comprehensive 2-3 day training period will be provided, with a pharmacist available at all times to assist and answer questions.
