Care One is an independently owned long-term care pharmacy located in Niles, IL. We look forward to meeting team-oriented pharmacy technicians to add to our caring staff! We are growing and are expanding our IV team. Our current opening is for an Experienced and Certified IV Technician . Qualified candidates will have at least 2 years of IV Pharmacy Technician experience. This is a Full Time ON SITE position, and all shifts require rotating weekends and holidays.

The shifts are as follows:

3 PM -11:30 PM Monday through Friday, and when scheduled on weekends, the shift is 10:30 AM- 7 PM.

Position Description:

IV mixing/compounding procedures, and processing patient information in the software system. Perform sanitation and maintenance of the IV Hood and infusion equipment in accordance with USP 797 Standards. Prepares labels, prescriptions, compounding/mixing worksheets, and completes and maintains product lot numbers and expiration dates. Generates delivery/pick slips under the supervision of the Pharmacist. Picks and prepares supplies. Ensures IV Pump log/information is kept current Performs other tasks as assigned Adheres to all pertinent local, state, and federal pharmacy regulations. Communicates with nursing personnel in facilities & maintains a phone log that includes the date/time of the call & the name of the facility nurse.

Requirements:

Certified Pharmacy Technician with a valid IL Pharmacy Tech license A minimum of 2 years of IV experience Ability to cover required shifts Excellent communication skills both written and verbal Familiar with pharmacy software, order entry, and interpreting orders Recent IV experience in a pharmacy environment Care One is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
