Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician Job Type Contract A pharmacy technician role is available to support hospital pharmacy operations in Richmond, IN. This position offers a day/afternoon schedule with 8-hour shifts totaling 40 hours per week. The role is contract-based and requires flexibility and dedication to maintaining high standards of patient care.
Responsibilities include:
Performing sterile and non-sterile compounding with accuracy and adherence to safety protocols. Restocking automated medication dispensing systems such as Pyxis machines. Managing incoming calls to the pharmacy, addressing inquiries and coordinating medication needs. Delivering medications to patient care floors promptly. Identifying and removing expired medications to ensure compliance and safety.
Qualified candidates will possess:
A valid Indiana Pharmacy Technician license or eligibility to obtain one. A minimum of 2 years of current hospital pharmacy experience. Demonstrated expertise in sterile compounding procedures. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare teams and adapt to fast-paced environments.
