Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician - IV Certified Job Type Contract This opportunity seeks skilled Pharmacy Technicians with IV certification to support home infusion services in Bixby, OK. The role is a 4-month contract with a Monday through Friday schedule, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., starting ASAP through the end of the year. Candidates must hold an active Oklahoma pharmacy license.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Oklahoma pharmacy technician license with IV certification Experience compounding infused drugs and preparing sterile solutions Proven ability to evaluate and monitor drug therapies for home care patients Strong organizational and time-management skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Knowledge of prescription medication dispensing, patient counseling, and compliance monitoring Ability to maintain accurate patient records and ensure legal compliance with medication handling Experience educating patients on medication usage and medical device handling Collaboration with healthcare teams including physicians, nurses, and pharmacists Doctor of Pharmacy degree required
Responsibilities:
Dispense prescription medications and monitor patient medication compliance and usage Counsel patients on medication instructions, side effects, and interactions Compound medications for external or internal use in sterile environments Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks Maintain pharmaceutical and medical supply inventory Identify drug-related problems and communicate effectively with physicians and healthcare professionals Provide patient services like smoking cessation support, blood pressure measurement, and cholesterol management Ensure proper management of patient records and pharmacy files This contract role offers the chance to work with a reputable infusion services provider serving patients in their homes.
