Job Description

Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students from Pre-K through 8th grade in a supportive, contract-based role. This opportunity is based near Waukegan, IL, and is ideal for a Physical Therapist who is passionate about working in school environments and helping children thrive. You will collaborate with a dedicated multidisciplinary team to conduct initial evaluations and re-evaluations, ensuring each students physical therapy needs are identified and addressed. With a manageable caseload and a consistent scheduleworking two days per week (approximately 16 hours)youll be able to provide focused, high-quality care.
Key Qualifications:
Active Physical Therapist license in Illinois (or eligibility to obtain) Previous experience working with children in a school setting preferred Ability to work independently while communicating effectively with team members, educators, and parents Strong organizational and documentation skills Familiarity with IEPs and school-based therapy protocols
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct initial and re-evaluations for Pre-K through 8th grade students Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other therapists to develop and implement individualized therapy plans Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school and state requirements Participate in team meetings and contribute to the overall success of each students educational experience Support students progress toward their physical development goals through evidence-based interventions If youre seeking a flexible contract position that allows you to make an impact while maintaining work-life balance, this is a fantastic opportunity.
