Position Overview Sustain Recovery Rehab Center is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our team at our outpatient clinic located in Whitestone, New York. Work Environment You will work onsite at our Whitestone facility, benefiting from a supportive team dynamic and modern rehabilitation equipment. Our clinic is designed to foster a collaborative atmosphere, allowing healthcare professionals to share insights and strategies to improve patient care. The center is open Monday through Friday, ensuring a work-life balance that promotes your well-being alongside that of our patients. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments of patient conditions, including physical examinations and functional performance evaluations, to identify specific rehabilitation needs. Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings while engaging patients in the goal-setting process. Utilize various rehabilitation techniques, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities, to enhance functional mobility and alleviate pain. Document patient progress meticulously in compliance with state regulations and facility policies, ensuring clear communication with the healthcare team. Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and strategies for long-term mobility and pain management. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including occupational therapists and speech therapists, to provide integrated care that addresses all aspects of a patient's rehabilitation goals. Participate in ongoing professional education and training to stay updated on best practices in physical therapy. Patient Population / Client Focus The patients at Sustain Recovery Rehab Center primarily include adults recovering from surgery, sports injuries, or chronic pain conditions. Our approach is tailored, taking into consideration each individual's unique circumstances, lifestyle, and recovery objectives. You will play a vital role in helping these patients regain their strength and quality of life through carefully structured therapy sessions. Qualifications A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required. Current licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in New York State. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and their families. Capability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a focus on patient-centered care. Preferred Experience A minimum of 2 years of experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting, which is beneficial but not mandatory. Skills in using rehabilitation technologies and modalities that can aid in patient recovery. Experience in developing patient-specific educational resources and programs. Compensation and Benefits We offer competitive compensation ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package.
