ASC Administrator Per Diem RoleGENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES
The Ambulatory Surgery Center Physical Therapist completes comprehensive post-surgical evaluations for patients undergoing same day total joint replacements. Establishes prognosis and develops an individualized plan of care during recovery room stay. Implements treatment interventions after discussing the home set-up and identifies any potential barriers for a safe recovery, prior to being discharged home.Essential Job Functions:
Evaluate patient s musculoskeletal function Same day mobilization and essential pre-discharge functional training to ensure patient safety Design and discuss appropriate treatment interventions based on findings in evaluation Perform necessary documentation to ensure compliance with regulations Manage patient progress during recovery in PACU Additional duties as assigned by the Manager to meet department needsRequirements:
Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program Licensed or eligible for licensure as a physical therapist in the State of RI Previous experience in orthopedics/musculoskeletal rehab preferred Excellent communication skills Ability to maintain confidentiality Attention to detail Team oriented professional Excellent interpersonal and time management skills Must be able to travel to all sites if/when necessaryCareer Insights for Physical Therapist
