Position Overview Bright Star Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and experienced Physical Therapist to join our team in Leesburg, Virginia. This full-time, onsite role focuses on delivering high-quality physical therapy services in a home care environment. Work Environment This position operates primarily in the homes of our clients located throughout Leesburg, Virginia. You will have the opportunity to assess and implement therapy plans within a unique home environment, tailoring care to individual needs. Key Responsibilities As a Physical Therapist at Bright Star, you will: Direct all aspects of physical therapy treatment, focusing on preventing disability, alleviating pain, and restoring muscle function in alignment with individualized care plans. Oversee and mentor physical therapy assistants, ensuring the effective implementation of treatment strategies as prescribed by the attending physician. Conduct thorough evaluations of clients' functional levels using a variety of diagnostic tests, assessing muscle, nerve, joint function, and overall mobility. Assess client home environments to recommend modifications that enhance independence and facilitate rehabilitation. Deliver prescribed physical therapy services in clients' homes, administering therapeutic exercises, traction, and manual therapy techniques. Regularly evaluate, fit, and adjust orthotic and prosthetic devices, making recommendations for modifications to healthcare providers as necessary. Maintain comprehensive clinical records, including initial evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring they are submitted timely and accurately in compliance with OASIS regulations. Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings, collaborating with case managers and other healthcare providers to formulate and update holistic treatment plans. Engage clients and their families in therapeutic processes, providing education on therapy programs and any assistive devices recommended. Adapt continuously to changes in clients' conditions and adjust plans of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. Patient Population / Client Focus Your role will serve a diverse patient population, including elderly individuals seeking to maintain independence, patients recovering from surgery or injury, and those managing chronic conditions. Qualifications To qualify for this position, candidates must possess: A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution. A valid physical therapy license in the state of Virginia. Current CPR certification. A valid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance. Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with clients, families, and healthcare colleagues. Preferred Experience Ideal candidates should have: A minimum of two years of experience as a physical therapist, preferably in a home care or acute care setting. A proven capability to guide and oversee physical therapy assistants to assure quality care delivery. A commitment to continuous education and professional growth in the field, as well as the ability to adapt to regulatory changes. A supportive and positive attitude towards teamwork and patient engagement. Compensation and Benefits This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
