Responsibilities Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs. Perform therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy, and use medical equipment to support patient recovery. Document clinical assessments, treatment progress, and discharge planning accurately following clinical documentation standards. Monitor patient responses during therapy sessions and communicate effectively with patients and caregivers to ensure understanding of care plans. Operate medical equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to safety protocols and medical terminology standards. Collaborate with healthcare professionals—including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists—to coordinate comprehensive care. Maintain detailed electronic health records (EHR) management and ensure compliance with all medical documentation requirements. Experience Prior experience working in inpatient settings, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, or home health environments is highly preferred. (1 year of having PTA licensure required) Demonstrated knowledge of physiology, anatomy, orthopedics, geriatrics, and physical therapy treatment implementation. Skilled in clinical assessment documentation, medical documentation practices, and discharge planning processes. Experience with medical terminology and the operation of physical therapy equipment is essential. Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients of all ages and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams. Inpatient experience or skilled nursing facility experience is advantageous; outpatient or clinic experience is also valued. Familiarity with acute care settings and outpatient therapy enhances your ability to deliver comprehensive patient care.
