The Functional Movement Specialist will design and implement individualized programs to improve physical functioning. They will use exercises and activities such as squats, lunges, and core exercises to improve strength, mobility, and flexibility while providing assessments, education, and guidance to our clients. We are looking for a caring, compassionate, motivated team member who has a willingness to serve our Public Safety patient population by improving their overall health and performance. The successful candidate will work with a team of providers and will assist in delivering premium care to each patient This position is stated at 40hours per week. Working 10 hrs. per day, (4) days a week.
We are located at:
1901 E University Dr. Suite 240, Mesa, AZ 85203 Our hours of operation are : 7:00am - 5:00pm Mon, Tues & Thurs & Fri 7:00am - 4:00pm (closed on Wednesdays and weekends).
Responsibilities:
Ability to assess functional movements, while identifying limitations and functional asymmetry. Ability to create injury prevention plans with a wide variety of exercises that address both health and performance. Provide postural functional exercises and self-corrective movements. Educate and advise patients regarding nutritional aspects of physicals activity. Complete required documentation of patients regarding evaluations and therapeutic interventions. Facilitate and instruct patients to enhance their general knowledge of athletic training modalities, sports medicine concepts, injury prevention strategies, self-rehabilitative techniques, and functional movement assessment, in order to develop independence of action and allow participation in their own fitness prescriptions. Assists with Hearing testing and Vision exams. Assisting with Administrative/Clerical duties. Ability to travel to other work-site as needed. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Valid Government Driver's License FMS Certified or ability to obtain FMS certification within (30) days of hire Minimum (2) years of Physical Therapy, Personal Training and/or Functional Movement experience Related Physical Therapy or Personal Training education certifications. BLS Card (required) Must have a good understanding of anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology Must have strong communication skills Must be able to demonstrate movements

All drug testing procedures will be conducted in a manner that respects employee privacy and confidentiality.
