SIGN ON Bonus available Key responsibilities - Physical therapy Assistant Implements and executes on established patient treatment plan under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. Communicates with patient, families, referring physicians and other members of the team. Provides timely written documentation per facility and department requirements. Develops and enhances clinical and professional skills through knowledge and professional associations. Communicates with patient, families and other clinical staff of treatment variations. Provides timely written documentation as required by insurance provider to meet licensing, certification, regulatory, reimbursement requirements and physician treatment plan. Supports and participates in department operations and development. Reports any changes in patient status or needs to supervising therapist on a timely basis.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday. Must be able to lift up and over 100 pounds with assistance according to the resident's abilities. Must be able to sit for extended periods of time and walk for extended periods of time. Must be able to reach assigned destination in a reasonable time frame. Must be able to bend, squat, push, stoop, and pull as needed especially in fulfilling patient care activities. Must be able to meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of this facility, including physical examination

Physical Therapist Assistant Requirements:

Certification from a physical therapist assistant program. Valid physical therapist assistant license. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to lift and move patients. Computer literacy skills. Qualifications Valid certification or licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) from an accredited program. Demonstrated experience working with diverse patient populations in inpatient, outpatient, or skilled nursing facility settings. Proficiency in physiotherapy techniques including trigger point therapy and other manual therapy methods. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and care planning processes. Experience providing patient care within acute care environments or home health services is highly desirable. Familiarity with orthopedic, geriatrics, pediatrics, and outpatient rehabilitation practices. Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively and work collaboratively within healthcare teams. Pay:

$22.51 - $27.11 per hour
