Qualifications:
Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program Active licensure through the Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners Current CPR certification School-based or pediatric experience preferred, but not required Bilingual skills are a plus, but not required Your Role As a school-based Physical Therapist Assistant , you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help students improve mobility, increase independence, and better access their educational environment.
Responsibilities may include:
Implementing therapy services and interventions outlined in student IEPs Assisting with therapeutic activities designed to improve functional mobility and participation in the school setting Documenting student progress and maintaining accurate service records Collaborating with Physical Therapists, educators, and special education teams to support student success Assisting with adaptive equipment, positioning, and mobility recommendations Participating in ARD meetings and team discussions as appropriate Supporting a positive, student-centered educational environment Your work will directly impact students' ability to access their education and thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
