Job Description

Our client in Maine seeks an Urgent Care Physician Assistant for a 120-day assignment starting Oct 19, 2026. This role involves working four 10-hour shifts, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, providing comprehensive care for walk-in patients, including geriatrics and pediatrics, managing a variety of urgent care cases from injections to acute illness and minor injuries. Responsibilities and Duties Provide comprehensive care for urgent walk-in patients. Manage a diverse patient population, including geriatric and pediatric cases. Administer injections as required. Conduct diagnostic testing for conditions such as COVID-19, strep throat, and upper respiratory infections. Address a wide range of urgent care issues including upper respiratory problems, wound care, tick removal, diarrhea, knee pain, sinus infections, hives, left arm pain, abdomen pain, and UTIs. Utilize on-site lab and X-ray facilities for diagnostic support. Facilitate transfers to the on-campus emergency room for critical cases such as chest pain.
