Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Family Practice Physician Assistant for an 80-day assignment in Maine, starting Feb 1, 2027. The schedule involves four 10-hour shifts, focusing on comprehensive primary care, chronic disease management, medication oversight, and supporting a walk-in clinic that serves a significant geriatric patient population. Responsibilities and Duties Provide full scope primary care in a family medicine and walk-in clinic setting. Manage chronic care conditions and medication regimens, especially for patients on long-term medications. Support walk-in clinic operations, including evaluation and treatment of minor urgent care cases. Care for a predominantly geriatric patient population, handling higher acuity cases typical for older individuals. Conduct post-discharge follow-ups for patients released from the Emergency Department. Additional Information Board Certification in Family Medicine is required. Experience with Meditech EHR is preferred. Comfort with managing patients on chronic medications is essential. On-site lab and X-ray facilities are available.
