Job Description:
Seeking a full-time RN for Weston Cosmetic Surgery by H/K/B! Additional support may be needed in the front office including pre-op evaluations, medical clearance, post-op appointments, assisting during consultations, minor procedures, and follow-ups. OR and PACU support as needed. This position is Monday-Friday, around 40 hours a week. What you can expect in the role: Preparing the operating room with necessary equipment for surgical cases Preparing and administering medications Assisting Anesthesia providers as needed Preparing patients for surgery by cleaning and disinfecting areas to be operated on Remaining in the room to assist with any needs Intraoperative charting Stocking operating rooms with sterile surgical equipment, linens, and supplies Developing and implementing nursing care plans for surgical patients Identifies patient care requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual patients and other persons in a position to understand care requirements. Establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families. Promotes patient's independence by establishing patient care goals; teaching patient, friends, and family to understand condition, medications, and self-care skills; answering questions. Resolves patient problems and needs Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations; calling for assistance from health care support personnel. Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations. Prepare patients for surgery in the pre-operative setting. Assist in the recovery of patients post surgery.
Requirements:
Active RN license (Required) Bachelor's degree in Nursing (Required) Minimum 1 year of nursing experience (Required) Current ACLS certification BLS Certification (Preferred) Spanish-speaking (Preferred) Plastic surgery experience preferred. Must be able to lift 50+ pounds.
