Local Team Collaboration:
Become part of a cohesive and long-standing team of 6 physicians and 1 advanced practitioner with the support of a practice coordinator at McLaren Port Huron Hospital. We take pride in our active engagement within the hospital, collaborating with leaders, managers, and staff to elevate the quality of patient care. With a footprint in 11 committees, we are consistently the first to volunteer for quality improvement initiatives. We meet monthly for team meetings and internal staff meetings.
Qualifications:
Board-certified/eligible in family or internal medicine. New internal medicine graduates, internal medicine residents, and fellows are encouraged to apply. We proudly support both H1 and J1 Visa Candidates who can take advantage of Sound's excellent in-house visa specialists and our licensing and credentialing experts. All required filing fees for the visa are paid, and services are covered by Sound.
Scheduling:
Our Hospitalists follow a 7-days-on, 7-days-off rotation. The shifts are 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
We welcome the challenge of complex cases. There is an open ICU with intensivist coverage. Our team is not expected to do procedures. Our team responds to all adult code blue and rapid-response events in the hospital. We work with internal medicine residents. Living and Working in
