9649955-35749 Job Description Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a skilled professional supporting elementary students' growth and success. This full-time role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact by working collaboratively with staff across two elementary schools, taking on 30 hours per week evenly split between the sites. The assignment runs from October 12th through May 26th, 2027. Your expertise as a School Psychologist or School Psychometrist is essential for completing new referrals and re-evaluations, adhering closely to Alabamas guidelines for Special Education Evaluations. You'll serve as a vital resource for school teams, providing insightful assessments and working hands-on with educators, families, and administrators to ensure each students individual needs are identified and met.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
Valid certification as an Alabama School Psychologist or School Psychometrist Experience in school-based psychological or psychoeducational assessments Thorough understanding of Alabamas Special Education Evaluation procedures and requirements Dependability and excellent collaboration skills Ability to manage caseloads and balance work across two elementary school sites
Key Responsibilities:
Complete comprehensive evaluations for new referrals and student re-evaluations Consult with school staff and participate in multidisciplinary teams to interpret assessment findings Document results and recommendations in accordance with district and state guidelines Ensure clear communication with families and faculty to support each students educational plan
