Job Description

Embark on a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a vibrant elementary school setting. This contract role offers the chance to support elementary students and staff through onsite psychological services, fostering positive outcomes within an engaging educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct psychological assessments to evaluate students cognitive, academic, and emotional development. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs). Provide direct counseling and intervention services to students as needed. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute expertise on student behavior and social-emotional needs. Maintain accurate records and comprehensive documentation in accordance with school and regulatory standards. Support crisis intervention and prevention efforts schoolwide. Stay current with best practices in school psychology and share insights with educational teams.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid school psychologist certification in Delaware or eligibility for state licensure. Experience working with elementary-aged children in a school-based setting is highly preferred. Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills. Ability to navigate sensitive situations with confidentiality and professionalism. Commitment to inclusive practices and a proactive, student-centered mindset. Willingness to fulfill all compliance requirements, including TB testing, fingerprinting ($85 fee candidates must pay and provide receipt), and completion of the required contractor packet prior to starting. The district reviews the packet within five business days following submission. This is a full-time, onsite position operating Monday through Friday, with a 35-hour workweek and a 30-minute unpaid lunch each day.
