Job Description

Step into a meaningful contract role as a School Psychologist serving students in the Fort Myers area! Starting in August 2026 and running through May 2027, you'll have the opportunity to impact the lives of young learners across multiple campuses, working full-time in a dynamic school-based environment. Your primary focus will include conducting assessments, participating in IEP meetings, and preparing comprehensive reports to help inform student achievement and growth. You'll collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to ensure student needs are identified and addressed throughout the school year.
What Were Looking For:
Valid and active Florida Department of Health School Psychologist license (required) Experience administering educational and psychological assessments Familiarity with school-based special education protocols and procedures Previous experience in school settings strongly preferred Ability to work full-time onsite, with flexibility to support multiple school locations Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong collaboration and time management abilities
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct psychological and educational evaluations for students across a range of age groups Prepare and present reports for IEP and other multidisciplinary meetings Participate in data-driven discussions to develop student-centered interventions Serve as a resource to staff and families on topics related to learning and mental health Maintain thorough, timely, and confidential documentation This assignment offers a consistent schedule of 35 hours per week throughout the school year, with itinerant assignments possible based on district needs.
