School Psychologist - Conover, North Carolina
Job Description
Empower students to succeed in a dynamic educational setting! This contract position offers the opportunity to serve as a dedicated School Psychologist, working full-time from now through May 28, 2027. With a consistent Monday through Friday schedule totaling 37.5 hours per week, you will have the chance to make a meaningful impact across elementary, middle, and high school levels. Located near Conover, NC, the role provides excellent professional experience by supporting a diverse student population.
Qualifications and Experience:
Current certification or license as a School Psychologist Experience working within school settings at various grade levels Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with educators, families, and students Proficiency in conducting psychological assessments and functional behavioral analyses Ability to facilitate eligibility and re-evaluation review meetings Knowledge of the referral and evaluation process for special education services Adaptability and a student-focused mindsetKey Responsibilities:
Conduct re-evaluation reviews, eligibility meetings, and functional behavioral assessments for students Perform initial psychological evaluations as needed Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments and meetings Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to create and support intervention plans Communicate assessment results and recommendations to families and staff Act as a resource to school personnel regarding student learning, behavior, and mental health This is an excellent opportunity to work with a variety of age groups and to engage in a full spectrum of school psychology services.
