In this contract role, you'll perform general radiography and fluoroscopic exams, operate advanced imaging equipment, ensure radiation safety, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. You'll document in EHR/PACS, uphold regulatory and infection-control standards, and adapt quickly to new facilities using StaffDNA's tech-driven platform. Responsibilities Perform diagnostic radiologic procedures according to physician orders and departmental protocols Operate and maintain radiologic equipment, ensuring safety and quality standards Verify patient identity, explain procedures, and position patients for optimal imaging Apply radiation safety principles to protect patients, self, and staff Evaluate images for technical quality and collaborate with radiologists for interpretation Document procedures accurately in the electronic health record and PACSMaintain exam rooms, supplies, and equipment in readiness and compliance with regulations Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and allied health staff to coordinate patient care Follow infection control, HIPAA, and Joint Commission standards Support process improvements and technology-driven workflow enhancements Required Skills Diagnostic radiography (general X-ray) Fluoroscopy procedures Radiation safety and ALARA principles Patient positioning and immobilization Operation of digital imaging equipment (DR/CR) PACS and RIS/EHR documentation Venipuncture and contrast administration (where permitted) Infection prevention and control practices Anatomy and radiographic pathology recognition Regulatory compliance (HIPAA, Joint Commission)
