Swan-Ganz experience must be current/recent and supported by the required skills checklist Teaching hospital experience required First-time travelers accepted if they meet the large-facility requirement ICU & Patient Population The ICU Float Pool supports several high-acuity specialty areas, including: Neuro ICU Respiratory failure and ventilator support Hemodynamic instability Acute myocardial infarction with complications GU and GI bleeding Shock and massive transfusion Transplant patients Liver, kidney, pancreas, and heart/lung transplant populations Overflow PACU MS/Telemetry, PCU and Stepdown patients Required Certifications & Credentials BLS required ACLS required NIHSS required California RN license must be active and in hand at submission Relias EKG exam required EKG exam will also be administered during orientation Candidate must pass the EKG assessment to continue with the assignment Required Clinical Skills Pulmonary artery line / Swan-Ganz monitoring IV therapy Arterial line management Central line care and management Blood product administration Starting and maintaining IVs Ventilator management Care of mechanically ventilated patients BiPAP/CPAP High-flow nasal cannula ABG interpretation ETT and NT suctioning Continuous IV sedation Continuous IV paralytics/neuromuscular blockade Titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips Emergency medications Procedural sedation monitoring Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management FloTrac/Vigileo monitoring 12-lead

insulin protocols Phlebotomy Infection prevention and isolation precautions ICP monitoring preferred CRRT experience preferred EVD experience preferred Transplant experience preferred Schedule & Contract Details 17-week contract Day shift: 7:00 AM-7:30 PM 36 or 48 hours/week available Weekend coverage required At least 6 weekend shifts every 6-week period No scheduling requests can be accommodated

Maximum RTO:

2 weeks total No RTO during the first 2 weeks Flu vaccination required; no exemptions COVID vaccination not required Modules completed before start and/or during orientation First 17 hours of eligible modules are billable; additional module time is non-billable Orientation/module requirements vary by specialty

Pay Weekly Pay:

Up to $3,152

Blended Hourly Rate:

Up to $61.50/hr

Taxable Hourly Rate:

Up to $25/hr

Travel Stipend:

Up to $1,752/week

Requirements Minimum 2 years ICU experience required Large-hospital experience required First-time travelers must have ICU experience in a 400+ bed facility Swan-Ganz / Pulmonary Artery Line experience is mandatory Candidates without Swan-Ganz experience should not be submitted Required Swan-Ganz skills checklist must demonstrate appropriate competency and recent experience Active permanent California RN license required at submission BLS, ACLS and NIHSS required EKG assessment must be passed Two supervisor-level references from within the past year required Charge RN references are not accepted Flu vaccination is mandatory with no exemptions Previous Cedars-affiliated permanent employees must meet applicable separation requirements before returning as travelers All prior affiliated employment must be disclosed Open/pending license or background hits result in automatic redirect Traveler must be flexible to float across ICU, MS/Tele, PCU, Stepdown and overflow areas BI01 Travel
