Position Summary:
The Accreditation & Quality Assurance Registered Nurse is responsible for providing administrative support related to accreditation, quality assurance, infection-control documentation, staff education, and regulatory compliance for the Practice's accredited outpatient surgical facility. This is a part-time administrative position requiring approximately 2 to 4 hours per week. The position does not involve direct patient care, circulating, PACU responsibilities, routine clinical nursing duties, or day-to-day management of surgical personnel. The Accreditation & Quality Liason RN will serve as the Practice's primary internal liaison with Universal Healthcare Consulting and will work with the assigned consultant to maintain ongoing compliance with applicable

accreditation standards, complete required quality-assurance activities, maintain required documentation, and ensure that identified accreditation requirements and deadlines are addressed. The primary objective of this position is to maintain continuous accreditation readiness rather than preparing for accreditation only immediately before a survey. The RN is not expected to independently interpret complex accreditation or regulatory requirements when guidance is available through Universal Healthcare Consulting. The RN's responsibility is to ensure that requirements identified by the consultant are appropriately implemented, documented, tracked, and completed. Essential Responsibilities are in 5 key areas: 1. Accreditation & Regulatory Compliance 2. Quality Assurance, Quality Improvement & Required Reporting 3. Infection Prevention & Control Documentation 4. Annual Education, Training & Competency Documentation, Emergency Preparedness 5.
Credentialing & Required Facility Documentation Required Qualifications:
Current Registered Nurse license in good standing. Minimum of 1 year previous experience in an ambulatory surgery center, office-based surgical facility, or outpatient procedural environment. Minimum of 1 year familiarity with

accreditation standards and experience with healthcare accreditation, QA/QI, infection prevention, regulatory compliance, or healthcare auditing. Minimum of 1 year experience preparing for accreditation surveys or facility inspections. Familiarity with peer review, credentialing, patient-safety reporting, or ASC quality programs. Strong organizational and documentation skills with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to independently manage recurring deadlines and follow-up items. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively with physicians, nurses, surgical staff, administrative personnel, and outside consultants. Comfort using online compliance, education, and document-management systems. Ability to appropriately maintain confidential patient, employee, and facility information. Work Schedule & Availability The anticipated commitment is approximately 2 to 4 hours per week. Hours may fluctuate around quarterly QA reporting, annual training deadlines, accreditation renewals, surveys, consultant audits, or required corrective-action deadlines. This role shall be available on a reasonable as-needed basis to provide remote and in-person consultation and guidance regarding accreditation, compliance, quality assurance, and regulatory matters. Some of the administrative work may be completed remotely, provided required documentation and systems can be securely accessed. Any material increase in recurring hours or expansion of responsibilities should be discussed with and approved by the Medical Director and/or Practice Director.
