This contract opportunity calls for a skilled RN with specialized experience in high-acuity cardiac and post-surgical care. Your advanced knowledge and commitment to quality outcomes will be central to supporting critically ill patients through complex recoveries.
Schedule/Hours:
Full-time contract assignment Flexible scheduling options may be available based on departmental needs
Qualifications and Experience:
Active Registered Nurse license Demonstrated experience in the CVICU environment Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to respond quickly to changing patient conditions Proficiency in managing cardiac assist devices, hemodynamic monitoring, and medication titration Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for patient and family support
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive nursing care for post-cardiac surgery and critically ill cardiac patients Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based care Monitor vital signs, interpret complex data, and act swiftly to clinical changes Educate patients and families on treatment plans and post-discharge care Maintain accurate, timely medical documentation and ensure compliance with safety standards
