Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-Stepdown Job Type Contract Stepdown registered nurses are needed to deliver high-quality care to patients transitioning from intensive care to more stable conditions. In this contract position, you will play a pivotal role in monitoring and supporting patients requiring close observation, utilizing your expertise in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Qualifications:
Active RN license in good standing Minimum of 1 year recent experience in a stepdown or progressive care unit Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills Proficiency in patient monitoring, telemetry, and responding to changing conditions Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams Excellent communication and documentation abilities BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS preferred
Primary Responsibilities:
Monitor patient conditions, recognizing and responding to acute changes promptly Administer medications, manage IV drips, and perform nursing interventions as ordered Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and update care plans Educate patients and their families regarding ongoing care and recovery Maintain accurate and thorough patient records Provide compassionate support during the patient's convalescence from critical illness or surgery Benefits include exposure to a range of patient care scenarios, opportunities to expand your clinical experience, and the chance to work alongside dedicated healthcare professionals.
