Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background, excellent patient assessment skills, and a commitment to delivering comprehensive nursing care. This role offers an opportunity to work across various settings, including long-term care, acute care, and community-based environments, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and comfort. Duties Provide direct patient care by performing thorough assessments, developing individualized care plans, and monitoring patient progress. Administer medications and treatments accurately, including injections, IV infusions, and medication management in accordance with physician orders. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner to document patient information meticulously and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist with diagnostic evaluations and laboratory specimen collection while maintaining strict infection control protocols. Support patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including tube feeding, catheter care, wound suturing, and ostomy management. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate discharge planning, case management, and long-term care strategies. Respond promptly to emergency situations utilizing critical care procedures such as airway management, ventilator support, or trauma response as needed. Educate patients and their families on health conditions, medication administration, pain management techniques, and health coaching strategies. Requirements Valid nursing license (RN) in the applicable state or jurisdiction with current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS). Proven experience in diverse clinical settings such as hospital medicine, ICU/CCU (Critical Care Unit), emergency room (ER), or trauma centers; Level I or Level II trauma center experience preferred. Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic or Cerner; familiarity with
ICD-10/ICD-9
coding is advantageous. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or memory care needs is highly desirable. Knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and sterile processing procedures. Ability to perform complex medical procedures such as suturing, catheterization, phlebotomy, and specimen processing accurately. Strong understanding of physiology and anatomy knowledge relevant to acute pain management, neonatal resuscitation procedures, or pediatric care when applicable. Excellent communication skills coupled with critical thinking abilities to assess patient needs effectively in fast-paced environments such as urgent care or outpatient clinics.
