AM Experience:

24 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months. 24 months of Telemetry Unit experience with 9 months within the last 12 months. Experience with Allscripts/Eclipsys is preferred. 9 months of acute care experience with 9 months within the last 12 months.

Requirements:

Candidates must have a New Hampshire license or compact license (required for submission). This role may require floating to additional units and locations Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted. No current placement allowed at

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience:
  • Cardiac telemetry knowledge.
  • Knowledge/skill set for cardiac medical and procedural patients (cardiac caths) and cardiac drips.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
  • Strong medical-surgical background with telemetry preferred.
Unit Details:
  • Patient ratios: days/evenings 1:4; nights 1:5.
  • Telemetry monitoring with some rooms hard-wired; vein finder for IV therapy; portable and continuous pulse oximetry; manual/automatic vital sign machines; blood glucose monitoring; mechanical lifts; dopplers; medication scanning capabilities; SoftLab.
  • Cardiac medical patient population includes hemodynamically stable MI, acute/chronic heart failure, new onset Afib with or without RVR, stable dysrhythmias, procedural patients, cardiac caths (radial or femoral) without interventions, ablations, cardioversions, ICDs, pacers, medication loads, CardioMEMS, pericardial drains, and patients requiring cardiac drips (Amio, diltiazem, renal-dose dopamine, dobutamine, milrinone, Lasix up to 40mg, insulin drips).

Additional populations include ICU transfers, neuro patients (CVA), and pulmonary patients requiring BiPAP, high-flow, and Salter.

  • Typical procedures include cardiac caths (left/right, femoral/radial approach) without intervention, pacers, ablations, cardioversions, EP studies, and cardiac drips: Amio, diltiazem, renal-dose dopamine, dobutamine, milrinone, Lasix, and insulin drips.
Shift & Scheduling:
  • Every other weekend.
Floating Requirements:
  • Floating within alike areas.
