Category Nursing - RN - IR Job Type Contract Deliver specialized care and expertise within an Interventional Radiology (IR) setting as a Registered Nurse, ensuring the highest standard of patient support throughout diverse procedures. This contract opportunity spans 13 weeks and is ideal for professionals ready to thrive in a fast-paced environment, working collaboratively with a skilled team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Schedule/Hours:
7:00am-5:30pm or 8:00am-6:30pm Call required 1-2 nights per week (8:00am-6:30pm shift, then on-call from 6:30pm-7:00am) One weekend on-call (Saturday 7:00am to Monday 7:00am) every 5-8 weeks Must be able to respond within 30 minutes when on call
Qualifications:
Active RN license in Rhode Island BLS certification required Experience in both body and neuro interventional radiology cases, including stroke interventions Demonstrated proficiency in responding to on-call requirements and emergencies
Key Responsibilities:
Assist physicians during interventional radiology procedures, ensuring optimal patient safety and comfort Monitor, assess, and document patient condition before, during, and after IR procedures Administer medications and manage procedural sedation as appropriate Provide education and emotional support to patients and families regarding interventions, recovery, and aftercare Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to maintain seamless procedural flow and coordinated patient care Respond quickly and effectively during emergency and stroke cases within a high-acuity setting Adhere to all regulatory and facility policies, maintaining best practice standards in clinical care Step into this pivotal nursing role and apply your expertise in interventional radiology settings.
