This position involves providing independent nursing care in a Medsurg or Telemetry setting, utilizing critical thinking to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care based on established protocols and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver routine and complex patient care aligned with treatment plans, addressing psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs. Administer medications and treatments, monitor effects, and document patient history, symptoms, and care provided. Educate patients, families, and caregivers on health needs and resources. Utilize the nursing process to develop and modify individualized care plans; communicate findings with healthcare team. Manage patient throughput, discharge planning, and unit operations, ensuring safety and quality standards are met. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, promote safe practices, and participate in quality improvement activities. Maintain accurate health information documentation, operate medical equipment, and process medical orders effectively.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred; minimum 2 years of Medsurg and Telemetry experience; 5 years preferred. Active RN license, BLS, and ACLS certifications required. Strong critical thinking, communication, and documentation skills. Ability to adapt to multiple units and demonstrate flexibility and proactive availability.
