Overview Assist clients in developing essential skills for successful interactions with adults and peers. Promote pro-social behavior, problem-solving, and coping skills to prepare clients for a less restrictive family setting with minimal formal supports.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Coach clients and their support systems in effective communication and pro-social behavior. Serve as a positive role model and advocate within the client's family and community. Provide services in various settings, including home, school, and community. Teach and coach parents or caregivers in developing healthy relationships and positive discipline strategies. Engage in one-on-one interactions with clients, promoting socially acceptable activities and behaviors. Assist clients in academic, social, recreational, and employment activities. Identify and link clients to natural community supports. Adhere to program requirements, including documentation and team consultations. Communicate openly with management, clinicians, and team members. Attend Child and Family Team meetings as needed. Accurately document all services and contacts. Adhere to the County Code of Conduct and agency's mission and philosophy. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

Bilingual Spanish Former foster youth or recipient of mental health services. At least 21 years of age. Obtain Peer Specialist Certificate within 1 year of hire. Clean criminal record and maintain record clearance. CPR and First Aid certification upon hire. Valid California Driver's License and clean driving record. Maintain vehicle insurance. Ability to lift/carry up to 15 lbs. and perform physical tasks. Maintain eligibility to work under mental health funded programs. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and trainable in Electronic Health Record systems. Strong problem-solving and social skills, professionalism, and good judgment. Alignment with Olive Crest's mission and values.
