Outreach & Enrollment Coordinator Blackstone Valley Comm Pawtucket, RI Job Details Full-time 19 hours ago Qualifications Health insurance policy knowledge Cultural competency Medical records Working with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds Full Job Description SUMMARY The Outreach and Enrollment Coordinator will work one-on-one with families and individuals to provide information regarding HealthSource RI, the qualified health plans (QHPs) and publicly funded insurance. This position will explain the options available, and directly assist with the application/enrollment process through HealthSource RI. The Outreach and Enrollment Coordinator will work to ensure all individuals have access to health insurance coverage provided as a result of the Affordable Care Act (ACA). In addition, this position will support the patient engagement activities performed by the department.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS
Minimum of an Associate's degree preferred At least 3 years' experience with a health and human services infrastructure, health insurance programs and public coverage options At least 3 years' experience working with vulnerable populations in a medical, or similar, setting preferred A combination of education and experience considered
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Reliable transportation Bilingual ability in English and Spanish, Portuguese or Creole speaking abilities required Cultural sensitivity necessary to work with a diverse patient and staff population Ability to work independently and collaboratively Knowledge of computers and medical records required Knowledge of Microsoft Suite preferred Strong communication skills, both verbal and written M-F 8-5PM
