None offered (hourly rate reflected accordingly) About the Practice We are a dedicated internal medicine practice focused on delivering high-quality, personalized patient care. Because we intentionally operate as a low-volume clinic , our day-to-day environment is calm, organized, and focused on meaningful patient interactions rather than rushed, high-turnover processing. Position Summary We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Medical Office Specialist to serve as the front-line ambassador for our clinic. You will handle front desk operations, patient check-in, basic administrative workflows, and initial coordination to ensure the office runs smoothly and patients feel welcomed and cared for.Key Responsibilities Front Desk Operations:
Greet patients warmly, manage check-in/check-out, verify insurance eligibility, and collect co-pays.Scheduling & Communication:
Answer multi-line phones, schedule appointments, manage patient inquiries, and handle appointment reminder calls.Administrative Support:
Maintain patient records in our electronic medical record (EMR) system, manage faxes, scan clinical documents, and handle basic billing/correspondence tasks.Clinic Flow:
Collaborate closely with the provider to ensure examination rooms are prepped and daily patient flow remains steady and relaxed. Take vitals; enter patient medications in EMR.What We Are Looking For Experience:
Previous experience working in a medical office, clinic, or healthcare administrative setting is strongly preferred. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems is a plus.Professional Demeanor:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate, patient-first attitude.Organization & Reliability:
High attention to detail, punctuality, and the ability to multitask effectively in a quiet, independent work environment.
