A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

24 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months. 36 months of Respiratory Unit experience with 9 months within the last 12 months. 3 months of Meditech experience is preferred.
Requirements:
Candidates must have a license (required for submission). This role may require floating to additional units and locations Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted. No current placement allowed at

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience:
Level 3 NICU experience required; would consider someone with 3-5 years of Level 2 NICU experience.
Unit Details:
Level 3 NICU patient population. Attend high-risk deliveries. Ventilator management with conventional as well as high-frequency oscillatory ventilation. Surfactant administration. Blood gas acquisition and interpretation. Nitric oxide administration. Uses Drager VN500 ventilators, 3100A oscillators, Mallinckrodt nitric oxide, and Vapotherms. Uses NeoNotes.
Shift & Scheduling:
Every other weekend. Holidays in rotation with hospital employees. 10 days maximum time off 1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months Driver's license required

BLS (Basic Life Support) RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program
