Category Respiratory Therapist Job Type Contract Seeking an experienced professional to perform advanced respiratory care and diagnostic procedures for patients across intensive care and general practice units. In this contract role, you'll work under the supervision of the Respiratory Therapy Supervisor to deliver life-support, resuscitation, and various types of medical gas therapy.
Schedule:
Three 12-hour shifts per week 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM Every other weekend rotation 13-week assignment
Qualifications:
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required At least 2 years of recent experience in respiratory therapy Current state licensure for respiratory therapy practice BLS certification (current and valid) Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients, colleagues, and interdisciplinary teams Ability to supervise and delegate responsibilities to support staff, externs, and students
Key Responsibilities:
Administer life-support and monitoring therapies, including invasive and non-invasive procedures Deliver care in various hospital departments or units, as assigned Communicate effectively regarding patient needs and coordinate care with clinical teams Document all aspects of patient care accurately and completely in the medical record Supervise, instruct, and support other respiratory staff and learners Enter comprehensive and accurate billing information for services provided This role offers an opportunity to apply your clinical expertise in a challenging environment, supporting patient care across diverse units and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
