1 Description American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of experience and strong neonatal skills for a night shift acute care position. Details Acute care setting in the Respiratory Therapy department Night shift schedule, 1900-0730 Variable shift including weekends, holidays, and on-call requirements 0.9 FTE, 36 hours per week Uses Epic EMR Requirements Current RRT certification BLS and ACLS certification NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification Minimum 2 years of experience Strong neonatal experience required License required if applicable Additional Information Provide respiratory therapy services within an acute care hospital setting Participate in on-call rotation as needed Accepts local candidatesCareer Insights for Respiratory Therapist

What they do
A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.
