A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

1 Description American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week night shift acute care assignment requiring RRT certification and 2+ years of experience. Details Acute care setting within the Respiratory Therapy unit Night shift schedule, 1900-0730 0.9 FTE, 36 hours per week Weekend, holiday, and on-call rotation required Uses Epic EMR 13-week assignment length Requirements Minimum 2 years of experience required Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required BLS and ACLS certifications required NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required COVID vaccine required License required if applicable Epic EMR experience preferred Additional Information Provide respiratory therapy care within an acute care hospital setting Participate in on-call rotation as needed Coverage for holidays and weekends expected Cancellation policy allows for 1 shift every 4 weeks
