Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will evaluate, diagnose, and treat individuals with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in our skilled nursing facility. Your expertise will help improve patients' quality of life through tailored therapy plans, collaborative care, and innovative treatment approaches. Whether working in clinical settings, schools, or via telehealth platforms, you will play a vital role in empowering individuals to communicate effectively and confidently. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for adult patients. Develop and implement individualized speech-language therapy plans that address specific communication needs and goals. Collaborate closely with families, caregivers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive patient care and effective therapy strategies. Deliver engaging therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based techniques for speech therapy, language therapy, and voice improvement. Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and session notes within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems. Educate patients and their families on communication strategies, home exercises, and ways to support ongoing progress. Stay current with advancements in physiology, anatomy knowledge, medical terminology, and best practices in speech-language pathology to provide top-tier care. Participate in telehealth therapy sessions when applicable, ensuring seamless service delivery across different platforms. Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for individuals with disabilities or speech impairments in skilled nursing facilities. Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration to coordinate care for patients with complex needs or co-occurring conditions such as working with geriatric populations. Skills Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy related to speech production and swallowing functions. Skilled in patient assessment techniques for diverse communication disorders. Ability to develop effective speech-language therapy plans tailored to individual needs. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or speech impairments with geriatric patients. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for documentation and patient record management. Excellent communication skills for collaboration, team coordination, and patient education. Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to speech-language pathology practice. Experience delivering telehealth therapy sessions confidently and effectively. Pay:
$50.00 - $60.00 per hour Expected hours: 2.0 - 20.0 per week
