9489342-33914 Job Description Step into an impactful role supporting students as a Speech Language Pathologist in a vibrant educational setting near Cape Coral, FL. This contract opportunity spans the 2026-2027 school year, running from August 11, 2026, through May 27, 2027, with full-time (up to 37.5 hours/week) and part-time involvement available. Multiple elementary, middle, and high school locations are open, and assignments can be combined to achieve a full-time schedule if desired. As part of a dedicated school-based team, your clinical skills will help students reach communication milestones that shape their educational journeys. Caseloads will vary depending on specific school sites, providing opportunities to work with a range of age groups and needs.
Desired Qualifications:
Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology Valid Florida teacher certification and/or
FL DOH SLP
license Experience working in school settings preferred Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and documentation skills Ability to adapt approaches to diverse caseloads Commitment to supporting students educational and communication goals
Key Responsibilities:
Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders Develop individualized treatment plans and collaborate with teachers and families Maintain clear documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines Participate in IEP meetings as needed Provide therapy across multiple school sites, as assigned The role requires on-site presence at assigned schools. Candidates must complete credentialing, including fingerprint clearance and possible JLA badge processing through state channels. If transferring from a different Florida district, credentials may be transferable with appropriate verification.
