Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract role supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist during a maternity leave this fall. This full-time position begins August 19th and extends through the end of October, providing dedicated speech services within a school setting in a vibrant community near Wilmette, IL. You'll have the chance to make a significant difference in the lives of children while collaborating with an enthusiastic team of educators and specialists.

Qualifications and Experience:

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility as a Clinical Fellow (CFY) Valid state licensure (or eligibility) for practice in Illinois Experience in school-based settings or pediatric caseloads preferred Proficiency with teletherapy platforms a plus Strong organizational and communication skills

Responsibilities:

Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy to K-12 students on-site and/or via teletherapy Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for students with a range of communication disorders Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families to support student progress and IEP goals Maintain timely and accurate documentation of services, assessments, and outcomes Provide support and guidance for Clinical Fellows (CFs) as needed Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to a positive, inclusive school environment As a valued professional in this role, you can look forward to a dynamic and supportive work setting, exposure to a diverse caseload, and the fulfillment of helping young learners thrive during a critical point in the school year.
