Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A contract opportunity is available for two licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to provide services in a dynamic school setting in Portage, IN, for the 2026-2027 academic year. This role suits certified SLPs with experience or certification in school settings, including those holding the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or school licensure. Candidates open to Voice Output Communication Aid (VOCA) expertise are encouraged to apply, enhancing communication access for students.

August 2026 (start date TBD) to May 2027 (end date TBD)
Weekly Hours:
37.5
Caseload:
45-55 students per clinician
Responsibilities:
SLP 1 will serve students across one elementary and one middle school building SLP 2 will serve students across two middle school buildings
Population:
Elementary and middle school students within these buildings
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid SLP licensure and relevant school certification Experience working with elementary and middle school populations Familiarity with VOCA devices and AAC strategies strongly preferred Ability to manage caseload sizes effectively and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in the school environment Strong communication and organizational skills essential
