Job Description
Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in a vibrant educational setting near Port Deposit, MD. With three full-time positions available, you'll have the chance to collaborate with a dedicated team and make a meaningful impact on students from kindergarten through 12th grade. As a Speech-Language Pathologist in this school-based setting, your clinical expertise and enthusiasm for helping young learners will shine. You'll work alongside education professionals, families, and other therapists to foster positive outcomes for students of all ages and backgrounds.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Current SLP license (or eligibility) for Maryland ASHA CCCs required (CFYs with relevant school placements may be considered) Previous experience in a K-12 school environment is highly valued Strong assessment, intervention, and communication skills Exceptional collaboration abilities with teachers, staff, and familiesKey Responsibilities:
Conduct screenings, evaluations, and write appropriate reports for students with speech and language needs Develop and implement IEPs and therapy plans tailored to individual students Deliver direct and indirect services, both individual and group, according to student needs Maintain clear, timely documentation complying with state and federal guidelines Collaborate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to student success within the school community Educate and support school staff and parents about communication strategies and best practices This contract offers a chance to make a lasting difference in the lives of students across multiple grade levels.
