Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a real impact supporting students' communication skills as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist on a contract assignment in the Stevensville, MD area. This rewarding opportunity lets you collaborate with students, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams to foster success in and out of the classroom. Utilize your expertise to help children overcome speech and language challenges while honing your skills in a dynamic educational environment.

Desired Qualifications:

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Active state licensure as an SLP (or ability to obtain before start date) ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but strong CFY candidates will be considered Previous experience in school settings strongly preferred Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Key Responsibilities:

Assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, voice, or fluency disorders Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) Deliver direct therapy services in individual and small group settings Collaborate with educators and families to support students' communication needs Document student progress and maintain required records Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and IEP reviews This contract position offers a lively school setting and the chance to really make a difference for students who need your specialized skills.
